довольно не плохая игра. Думаю, лет 20 назад, во времена нинтендо она бы зашла еще лучше

_____

Good game. I think, 20 years ago, in the days of Nintendo, it would have been even more popular

the puzzles were amaing and the art style is soooo cute!

loved it keep it up!

Here's the walkthrough for all level and also how to get the secret end / level.

I was so surprised I didn't get any horror bits for my first playthrough, turns out that was the default lol. A bit confused by the secret/bad end. I love how you make a secret and bonus feature for the game. Love how the puzzle are not too easy and not to hard. Just right. The pixel art is so dang pretty. Thank you so much for making this.

Hello CWP, I'm looking to translate this game into Latin America's Spanish.
If you are interested, please, let me know
Thanks, your game is amazing.

Sorry for the late reply! Feel free to translate the game, just make sure you provide a link to me so I can let people interested in playing know about it. :)

I think the game looks very nice! But it wasn't that fun to play. The puzzles were more frustrating than fun. Like, for the cauldron one it would've been nice to have the hints on a list you could check while you're doing the puzzle. Also, the secret ending wasn't that rewarding and raised more questions than answers.

It does raise some answers. Try to check out the "Extras" section in the main menu.

I just wanted to say I have been following your work for about three years now and I really enjoy the game. I can't wait to see what the future holds for you and game development.

As much as I enjoyed the gameplay and the puzzles, I feel like the secret ending made no sense! I didn't really understand it ( I wont spoil anything ) but that may just be me. I feel like it could've been depicted differently? I still enjoyed the game a lot and the normal ending was pretty good!

At first I thought it didn't make sense, too. But maybe you should check out the "Extras" section of the game. It explains some stuff about the backstory. It is still really unclear, though.

Y'ever just trade a baby for food?

This was such an interesting game! The puzzles were pretty challenging but it all works out in the end. I love the art style!

Pros and cons are down below) Check out my vid here:

Advantages:

1. I adore that you put some secret stuff in the game) I was almost dissapointed by normal ending because of the lack of horror elements but then I put a bit more effort into solving the puzzles and I am glad I did that! Btw the window ending made me laugh so hard.

2. The art style is very nice. I wish to see more arts with lavender and other characters. Very beautiful and fairytailish.

Disadvantages:

1. I did not really understand the chess puzzles (maybe I am stupid). But it said that were whites to go - they would lose basically (not so poetic as in the game)) though in the solution you can at least move your pawn. I thought that the riddle implies that there are no possible moves for the whites. Maybe it needs more clarification.

2. I wish the game would have a lot more horror elements. I would be glad to see more lore and explanation on the secret stuff.

Overall: I enjoyed the game a lot! Replayed it 2 times and I glad I did it! I wish this would become a bigger project with a darker story. Though it's been out for years now... Still, can't wait for more)

Hope my feedback was useful!

Hi! I've enjoyed very much your game, it was lovely! I made a gameplay about it, you can watch it here if you want -->

Also, I would love to translate it to Spanish! But I'm not sure on how to do it, can you explain it to me a little bit?

Thank you and have a lovely day!

Had been wanting to play this game for the longest of time. Really enjoyed the artwork and the puzzles. It was fun! <3

I just finished the game, the art is so good! Everything were so beautiful! Love the bonus page too, its great to know details about the making of the game! Thanks for Lavender, had a great time playing it!

The music is great, what is the song in the first couple rooms of the tower?

The song is called "Undermine" from Presence of Music!

Hey Hey! New to itch, do i need to download both of those in the download section or just the top one?

There is no need to download the translation kit, unless you plan to translate the game.

This game has such lovely art! And the general ambience is haunting yet beautiful. I loved it!

What a lovely experience! Thank you for making this game.

A really nice game!!! We enjoyed it very much.

We have both endings.

I had a lot of fun playing this game and trying to figure out this story! I really enjoyed it!

I downloaded and tried to play this game today, however it seems the controls just...don't work for me. The game loads and seems to run just fine but none of the inputs I've tried have any effect (I've just tried the usual wasd and arrow keys, but nothing happens). Anyone know why this might be happening?

Beautiful game! Wonderful! It ended up not being to my taste, but that's only because I go for a different type of RPG Maker style puzzles. (I'm not good at these kind of riddles orz) I was sad to stop playing, despite my inadequacy at riddles.

defo worth getting both endings! question,

spoilers!!!

is it like, dead little children in the cages and stuff or? and what did Rosalie mean in her diary they look like her and I cant do it? ive thought so much and I cant guess it

Wow, this was really beautifully done. It had a very simple story that got deeper the more you played. I love short games with a lot in them. My favorite color is lavender and I always appreciate color schemes in games, as well as secrets, that's what drew me to this in the first place. Definitely a success and I'd recommend it.

Hello, Clockwork Prince.

May I have an opportunity to ask you about translating your game?

Ah, my apologies about not getting back to you sooner; I have not logged into itch.io for a while. Which language are you looking to translate the game into?

into korean.

That's fine! Please let me know if you finish it so I can link to it.

Hello! I really like the design and colors! It gives me a spooky mansion/manor feeling! I really love the game page design! Everything is really nicely drawn. The program runs smoothly and is really nice. This game is pretty spooky! Nice job Clockwork Prince!

I have a love-hate relationship with spooky RPG Maker games. However, this is one of the more interesting and well-made ones I've played. I heartily recommend this to those who like new takes on fairy tales, and short games that are like nuts: more to them than meets the eye, and you must find the game's secrets to crack it open.

How long does the game take?

Maybe an hour or two, depending on how easy or hard you find the puzzles. Some people have finished it in 45 minutes or less.

It's a Very Cute And Good Game To Play,I Didn't Get To The End But I Already Liked It.

This is the first time I've played RPG game! If this video gets 10 views, I'll show you the true ending of this game =))

This is probably one of my favorite games, and I haven't even finished it yet. The lavender/purple tint of the game and the music selection make the entire experience so soothing.

Thank you so much, I'm glad you're enjoying the game!

My apologies; I forgot to mark the download as being for Windows!

I liked the game! The music fit with the overall tone and mood of the game, and the art did too. I confess I have a fondness for pixel art like this. I also confess that I had no idea what was going on.

Luckily, the game was short enough and the puzzles fun enough for that to not really matter.

Great game.

Can anyone tell me the name of the main menu music please?

(1 edit)

The title screen music is Gymnopédie No. 1 by Erik Satie and this particular rendition is from http://incompetech.com/.

Thank you, I've been looking for it everywhere.

Love these re-take on the Brother-Grimm's like versions of classic fairytales. Will you be making more?

(1 edit)

Possibly! Lavender's concept came to me as an almost complete package of ideas that just needed a bit of refinement, which isn't usually the case for games I try to make, so it'll have to depend on whether I get a good idea of how to mix up another familiar fairytale.

Basically: if I get a good idea for one, you can bet I'll try again! I'm just not 100% sure which fairytale it would be and what the game would play like, because I don't have solid ideas for such a game right now.

Great! There's so many classic fairy-tales that are out but I believe the Brother's Grimm versions carry more and have more authenticity if you know what I mean!

It depends; some fairytales like the ones Andersen wrote don't tend to have Grimm versions. I also don't 100% stick to fairytale plots when I adapt them into games, so if you want a game that's closely authentic I fear I might not really deliver what you're hoping for...

Still, if you don't mind some rewritings, you might enjoy any future fairytale adaptations, if I make any.

It was a pretty sweet game, it was cute but had some little secrets in it. The music was fairly nice and the puzzles were just right. It's a fairly nice RPG maker game, with some very nice little visuals as well!
Video❤

LOVED IT

This was a really nice game, good job :3

I made a video on this game and I hope you enjoy it

Neatly done! I loved the visual aesthetics, it looked really nice. The puzzles were fun and fairly challenging, not enough to be annoying though, hah. I have to agree with some of the earlier commenters that I wasn't entirely sure where the secret ending fits in the narrative or what was exactly happening there. Nice job overall though!
